7th Ave Merchants Street Festival a Big Success
If you missed it, you missed a great time!  Saturday, Oct. 24, the  First (and we hope) Annual Street Festival drew over 5000 to our area for a day of good food, fun and great buys.provided by the 7tj Ave merchants and other local tradespeople and organizations.  As part of the City's GAIN (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) project, this event was a great way to get to know how diversified our area really is.
A highlight was the display of vintage automobiles at Chester's garage.  Everyone was enthralled by these classic cars, and enjoyed the chance to talk with the owners.
The organizers of this event are all to be commended.  Neighborhood members who volunteered many hours of effort to make this project success are:  Dianne and Terry Kleber, Ben Foose, and Gwen and Bill Chester.  Thanks for all your hard work in our behalf.
